First of all, February is a short month! My scheduled play for a big game as The Game of Thrones or Fief didn’t work out. However, I played several others games, let see.
Viceroy – 2 plays
I solo-played my first game of Viceroy. I told to myself several times during the play: “This is a great game”, “The arts are so awesome!”, “I cannot wait to play against others!”
Thus, after playing solo, I taught the game to my wife and we played together. Well, I must have taught her good, because she won. We both like the game and are eager to play more games. Finding the strategy is difficult, but this will come easier with higher number of plays.
– Solo score: 78
– Two-player: Me: 83, Wife: 95
Hive – 1 play
A quick play of Hive after our daughter fall asleep. This allowed us to relax and talk. But I soon as the game became more strategic and difficult, the talking decreased and the tension rose until… I finally won!
We played with the Mosquito expansion. Even if I won using it as an ant, it will ask us more plays to be used to it.
Magic: The Gathering – 3 plays
I played three games of MTG with a new deck: Mardu Myth or if you prefer RWB Smallpox… Well, I’m disapointed. The deck I’m running isn’t good. I would need to invest too much money to make it good (read “to make it looks good on paper”)… So, I will go back to my well oiled machine: BW Smallpox. I added Gideon, Ally of Zendikar to make it even better! 🙂 Can’t wait to try it!
Next month, I must drop big games on the table.
